What is it?

Therapeutic modalities represent the application of thermal, mechanical, electromagnetic, and light energies for a specific therapeutic effect. At Belmont Medical Pharmacy and Physiotherapy, they are used to decrease pain, reduce inflammation, and help with tissue healing.

Modalities Offered at Belmont's Clinic:

· Shockwave Therapy

A device that uses acoustic waves to carry high energy to painful spots. It promotes regeneration and reparative processes of the bones, tendons, and other soft tissues, making it ideal for chronic pain recovery.

· TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation)

A therapy that uses low voltage electrical current to provide pain relief through electrodes placed on the skin at trigger points.

· Therapeutic Ultrasound

Used to provide deep heating to soft tissues, increasing circulation to help the healing process and decrease pain in muscles and ligaments.

· Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT)

A non-invasive light source treatment that acts as an anti-inflammatory agent and accelerates connective tissue repair.
